Jacky Bhagnani-Bollywood Debutante of 2009

Jackky Bhagnani is the son of the successful Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani. Vashu Bhagnani has worked with top actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Raveena Tandon, Tabu, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Govinda,Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and many more. The films Vashu Bhagnani has produced include Sorry Bhai!( 2008 ), Shaadi No. 1 ( 2005 ), Antarmahal: Views of the Inner Chamber ( 2005 ), Silsiilay ( 2005 ), Vaada ( 2005 ), Out of Control ( 2003 ), Jeena Sirf Merre Liye ( 2002 ), Om Jai Jagadish ( 2002 ), Deewaanapan ( 2001 ), Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein ( 2001 ), Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai ( 2001 ), Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa ( 2000 ), Biwi No. 1 ( 1999 ), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan ( 1998 ), Hero No. 1 ( 1997 ), Coolie No. 1 ( 1995 ), Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya ( 1998 ), Kya Love Story Hai ( 2007 ), Zameen ( 2003 ), Tera Mera Saath Rahen ( 2001 ), Albela ( 2001 ), Kunwara ( 2000 ), Soldier ( 1998/II ), Ziddi ( 1997 ) and Haqeeqat ( 1995 ).

Vashu Bhagnani is also producing the debut film of his son Jackky Bhagnani. The film is named Kal Kisne Dekha and Jackky has to star opposite another newcomer Vaishali Desai in this romantic thriller. The film is directed by Vivek Sharma and is scheduled to release in April. It is the story of a young college boy who can foresee the future. Jackky Bhagnani from his childhood days was a very fat person. When he grew up to be a man his waist measured 44 inches and his weight was 130 kg. To reduce his weight and waist Jackky had to undergo very rigorous workouts, with the help of which he was able to reduce 60 kgs weight. He now has a well toned body and is all ready to set the screen on fire with his movie Kal Kisne Dekha. The film is in the shooting stage and is being shot in a Thai resort.

Jackky once admitted that obesity was his biggest drawback. He felt very conscious about his weight and was never at ease. He also said that the best physic in Bollywood was of Priyanka Chopra among the actresses and Hrithik Roshan among the Actors. Jackky has also taken acting lessons from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York for a year. But he got admission there with the help of a reference letter written by Shah Rukh Khan as the institute needed a reference from a big personality. Jackky has groomed himself in dancing with help of the Shaimak Davar classes.

But you would be surprised to know that this young lad who has done so much training was very nervous to face the camera on the first day of his shoot. He said “I was very nervous on the first day of my shoot. No matter how trained you are, when you are actually in front of the camera, you feel that you will just freeze in front of the camera. I felt like I can’t speak or move, but thanks to my director and my cameraman I overcame initial fright. They played a huge role in making me feel comfortable”.

Jackky Bhagnani had before also ventured into films at the age of 16, but not as an actor, but an assistant producer to his father. He was also an executive producer for Shaadi No.1 and Silsilay. He also quoted that “When I started assisting my dad, I was the youngest producer in the country. But I didn’t want to become a producer. However, working behind the scenes really helped me understand the technique. I also learnt how much pain people take to make the person standing in front of the camera look good”. Jackky is anxious for his debut and is just hoping that this venture also turns out to be a successful one and he gets the chance to establish himself as a leading actor.
