Aamir Khan’s nephew ‘Imran Khan’

Imran Khan is an America-born Bollywood film star. Khan hails from the most renowned Bollywood Family to which superstar Aamir Khan belongs. He is the son of Anil Pal, a Bengali-American and Nuzhat Khan. Anil,who worked as a Directory of Operations Engineering at Netflix in Silicon Valley. He was a classmate of director Mansoor Khan , Nuzhat’s brother, at IIT Bombay. The parents of Imran Khan, Anil and Nuzhat married but divorced when Imran was one and half years old. He grew up with the surname Khan as his mother brought him up in India.

However, he moved to live with his father in California, to finish high school. He then trained in film making in Los Angeles. He later honed his acting skills at the Kishore Namit Kapoor’s Acting Institute in Mumbai.

He is also the nephew of actor Aamir Khan and director Mansoor Khan.

Birthday: 13th January, 1983 in Wisconsin, USA.

Debut Film: Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) as a child artiste.

His birth name is Imran Khan Pal. He is the grandson of Nasir Hussain who was a noted director and producer. While living in India, he studied at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim in Mumbai, and for a brief period in Bangalore. He is said to be dating Avantika Mallik .

His debut film was Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na with Genelia D’Souza, in early 2008 that released amidst a lot of fanfare. The film was produced by his uncles Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan. It went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year and Imran Khan acquired the status of a heartthrob and garnered great reviews for his acting prowess. His second release in 2008 saw him shifting from the calm, light-hearted Rats to a darker role as Kabir in Kidnap which starred Minisha Lamba and Sanjay Dutt.

Lucky Star He has two releases in 2009 and if his performance in 2008 is anything to go by, they are sure to firmly establish him in Bollywood as a Star.

Luck is an action thriller that stars established actors like Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakraborthy. It also serves to launch Kamal Hassanand Sarika’s daughter Shruthi Hassan.

Delhi Belly on the other hand is a comedy set in Delhi and is produced by Aamir Khan.
